Rep. Sharice Davids Joins Deb Haaland in Overland Park on Moving Kansas Forward Tour

VERLAND PARK, KS –  Yesterday, Rep. Sharice Davids met with supporters in Overland Park as part of her Moving Kansas Forward tour. Davids was joined by Deb Haaland to finish out her tour of all five counties in the Third Congressional District.

Davids and Haaland broke barriers together as the first two Native American women ever elected to Congress. Together, they rallied supporters to get out the vote in the Kansas Third during this critical election year.

“I was excited to have my friend Deb Haaland out to the Kansas Third today to show her all the ways Kansans are ready to make progress for our state,” said Davids. “Folks across the Third District want a bipartisan leader who will work on the issues that matter most to them—not what benefits special interests. That’s what I’ve done, and what I’ll always do for Kansas.”

Davids is traveling across the Third District, highlighting her work to lower costs for Kansans, from unsticking our supply chains to boosting domestic manufacturing to tackling the skyrocketing price of prescription drugs. During her tour stop at Homer’s Coffee, Davids spoke about her consistent record of defending reproductive rights at a time when those rights are under threat. Davids also stressed the importance of electing candidates who will work to combat extremism, not perpetuate it, at all levels of government.
