Rep. Sharice Davids Wins Kansas Third Debate

In today’s debate for the Third Congressional District of Kansas, Representative Sharice Davids showed clearly why her approach and vision has earned her the support of voters in the Kansas Third, and how Prasanth Reddy’s positions on reproductive rights and economic issues are too extreme for this community.

During the debate hosted by the Johnson County Post, KCUR, and Kansas City Public television, Davids highlighted her successful, bipartisan record on everything from health care to infrastructure to manufacturing job creation. In contrast, Reddy is backed by extreme politicians who led one of the least productive sessions of Congress in U.S. history.

Davids highlighted her defense of reproductive rights, noting Reddy’s hidden endorsement by Kansans for Life, who back a national abortion ban without exceptions — the same agenda Kansas voters rejected in 2022. She also pointed to her work capping insulin at $35 for seniors and allowing Medicare to negotiate cheaper drug prices, while Reddy, who opposes these measures, holds significant stock in pharmaceutical companies raising drug costs.

“Today, Rep. Sharice Davids made it clear that her commitment to working across the aisle to lower costs and deliver real results reflect the values of voters in the Third District,” said Zac Donley, spokesperson for Sharice for Congress. “Meanwhile, Prasanth Reddy’s extreme positions on reproductive rights and economic policy make it clear he can’t be trusted to fight for Kansas families.”

The debate will first air tomorrow at 7:30 pm CT on Kansas City Public Television and multiple times after prior to Election Day.
