Rep. Sharice Davids, who is running unopposed, released the following statement after she was declared the winner of the Democratic primary election:

“I’m deeply grateful for the continued trust of the people of Kansas’ Third District and appreciate their support today. As we move forward, my focus remains on addressing the real issues that matter to hardworking folks — lowering costs, improving access to affordable health care, combating extremism, and protecting individual freedoms and reproductive rights.

The fact is, I’m the only candidate for the Third District who will listen to and work with anyone — Republican or Democrat — to move Kansas forward and ensure that our values are represented in Washington. I look forward to earning the support of the Kansas Third once again on November 5.”
